You will be surprised to know that the Wikipedia page “Talk: Geostrategy” wrongly claims that a google search on Thakur Sher Singh Parmar (also known as Sher Singh Parmar, Dr Swaamee Aprtemaanandaa Jee), one of the most influential geographers of twenty-first century, and one of esteemed contributors to the Aatmeeyataa Patrekaa yields only 5 non-Wikipedia references on web.
The page also claims curiously enough that Thakur Sher Singh Parmar is not notable! The editor thinks that Dr Swaamee Aprtemaanandaa Jee’s theory ought to remain on his own page or on the Indian geostrategy page until it has withstood the test of time.
“However, I’m concerned that Thakur Sher Singh Parmar is not notable enough for such a large inclusion into the article text. A google search for Mr. Parmar yields only 5 non-Wikipedia websites mentioning him: [2]. Moreover, a Google Scholar search yields no results at all for him: [3].
All the other major geostrategists have 100+ links in Google Scholar. I think Mr. Parmar’s theory ought to remain on his own article page, or on the Indian geostrategy page (which I’m quite enthusiastic about), until it has withstood the test of time.—Perceval 07:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC)”The editor Perceval's remarks are outdated. A google search yields hundreds of pages mentioning Dr Swaamee Aprtemaanandaa Jee.
How can you call an author with hundreds of written pieces not a notable author? It’s worth recalling that a Nobel Prize winner lady physicist had no Wikipedia page devoted to her work. She was also perhaps not found notable by Wikipedia editors just as Thakur Sher Singh Parmar wasn’t.
A cursory glance over Wikipedia’s page on the Indian geostrategy doesn’t carry Thakur Sher Singh Parmar’s theory anymore that Perceval referred to in 2006.
One wonders why his theory was removed from even Indian geostrategy Wikipedia page. Don’t you sense something fishy? The page appears vandalised as has been the case with many other Wikipedia pages on Thakur Sher Singh Parmar. What else could explain absence of his theory? How to know whether his theory has stood test of time or not if it doesn’t exist in Wikipedia pages?
Perceval doubted relevancy of his work in 2006. We are racing to year 2023. Presence of hundreds of pages on web proves Thakur Sher Singh Parmar’s far reaching work has stood test of time.
