ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA MUST CANCEL WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT ASSEMBLY POLLS IN NOIDA, JEWAR AND DADRI TO RETAIN FAITH OF PEOPLE IN DEMOCRACY!
To a question asked, Swaamee Aprtemaanandaa Jee said," The Returning Officer Amit Kumar Singh can't be blamed for cancelling a Record Number of Nominations from Noida constituency merely because he allegedly wanted to give undue advantage to Pankaj Singh, BJP candidate and son of POWERFUL HOME MINISTER RAJNATH SINGH. I ADMIRE Amit Kumar Singh for having discharged his duties so faithfully. He did what he was supposed to do by law: Apply law most dutifully! Yes, he seemed to have overlooked the lacuna in BJP nominee Pankaj Singh's Form-26 wherein Pankaj has WRONGLY claimed his OCCUPATION (profession) being PGDM (educational qualification). May be Amit was in awe of POWERFUL HOME MINISTER RAJNATH SINGH! If I were in Amit's shoes, I would most impartially CANCEL even Pankaj's nomination paper for his having WRONGLY given his OCCUPATION as PGDM...!"
So, lets not blame the election officials who had merely implemented the rules as enjoined upon them by the Election Commission of India. All they can be blamed for is their UNCIVILISED, IMPOLITE AND RUDE BEHAVIOUR unbecoming of a public-spirited public-servant. In this regard, Swaamee Aprtemaanandaa Jee says," May be the Election Officials behaved rudely either due to UNTOLD MENTAL STRESS/STRAIN or INEFFICIENT BEHAVIOURAL TRAINING. Either way, they need be put through at least a month long BEHAVIOURAL-CORRECTION courses at some reputed YOGA Ashrams under well-trained Yoga/Behavioural experts so that these Election Officials imbibe and DISPLAY outstanding public-spirited nice behaviour when dealing with public...!"
Then what has gone wrong with the Nomination Process? What remedial measures need be taken?
The Election Commission of India must play the role of a FACILITATOR of participation in DEMOCRATIC processs and not the role of an OBSTRUCTIONIST/DICOURAGER...! It's a factual truth and factual reality that the nomination form is TECHNICALLY a bit really complicated one and beyond easy UNDERSTANDING of most candidates.
The Election Commission of India must initiate following measures immediately:
1. Cancel the Vidhan Sabha elections to 61-NOIDA, 62-DADRI AND 63-JEWAR ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES.
2. Renotify the Vidhan Sabha elections to 61-NOIDA, 62-DADRI AND 63-JEWAR ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES and reschedule them to be held in the Last 8th phase in March 2017.
3. Conduct a week-long GUIDANCE CLASS in the first week of February (say 7th to 15th February , 2017 ) in the Gautambudhnagar Collectorate for all CANDIDATES who had filed Nomination papers till 24 th January, 2017. The election officials MUST explain the DEFECTS in Candidates' nomination papers to Candidates. They MUST help the candidates in removing those DEFECTS and also ENSURE the NOMINATION FORMS are finally READY as per the legal requirements...!
The Election Commission of India MUST NOT make it an issue of false prestige. Therefore, It MUST IN PUBLIC INTEREST IMMEDIATELY CANCEL ELECTIONS TO NOIDA, DADRI, JEWAR AND IMPLEMENT THE HUMBLE PUBLIC-SPIRITED SUGGESTIONS GIVEN ABOVE...!
