DON'T BE MISLED BY STUDIES THAT CLAIM NON EXISTENCE OF SERIOUS HEALTH-THREAT FROM WERAING OF TIGHT MASKS
Although "The study -- published online Oct. 2 in the Annals of the American Thoracic Society found "that the effects [of wearing masks] are minimal at most even in people with very severe lung impairment," according to lead author Dr. Michael Campos who is an associate professor in the University of Miami's division of pulmonary, allergy, critical care and sleep medicine." yet the fact is such studies as aforesaid missed out on possible adverse impacts of wearing a tight mask continuosly for longer duration of period, say - 2 to 6 hours at a stretch daily for days together.
Also, these studies talk only about impact of Carbon Dioxide while wearing a tight face mask and erroneously overlook the possible adverse health effects arising out of breathing becoming irregular and slower due to continuous wearing of a tight face mask for longer period. Moreover, this study advises you to remove masks when you are at some safe distance from other people so as to avoiding feeling shortness of breath. But, there are situations where you are a part of crowd for very long hours or you may find yourself in environments where you can't take risk to remove your mask even for a moment such as while working in a grocery store, hospitals, etc.
Wearing a tight mask continuously for very long hours daily fo days together can possibly and definitely cause severe health problems.
But, this doesn't mean to discourage you from wearing a tight mask to help you avoid Corona-19 virus. Rather, it only highlights the necessity to keep your breathing system and pattern healthy and that you can do properly by doing Anulom-Velom Prannayam breathing exercises daily in morning for 15-30 minutes if you can't avoid wearing a tight face mask continuously for long hours.
